Loop Quiet 2 is a reusable silicone option with four included ear-tip sizes. The choice is mainly about fit and maintenance: you can try different tips and clean the plugs for reuse instead of replacing a foam pair regularly.
Start by following the manufacturer’s fitting instructions and checking each ear separately. A size that fits one ear may not be the best size for the other. For side resting, the pressure from your pillow also matters; the material alone cannot establish whether a particular pair will feel comfortable.
We have not tested these earplugs or measured their sound reduction. Noise ratings describe standardized testing, not the exact reduction every wearer will experience. Avoid directly comparing a European SNR figure with a US NRR figure as if they used the same test. On a train or bus, make sure your plan for waking and hearing essential announcements still works with earplugs in place.
